While it has not been confirmed by her former label, Blackground/Atlantic, a new album from the late Aaliyah appears to be in the works!

Producer Jeffery J.Dub Walker got the net talking Sunday, bringing to light news that "Steady Ground," a song he produced for the "One In A Million" singer, had been selected for an "upcoming album."

"Just got great news today; the smash unreleased song called "Steady Ground" I produced on #Aaliyah is gonna be on her upcoming albumSmile," Walker wrote on Twitter. He later tweeted "#catalog."

For years it has been rumored that unreleased music would be placed on an album around the tenth anniversary of her death. But that came and went last year. There is also the subject of a biopic and soundtrack.

Whatever the case may be, this would be a great way to reignite interest in the late- singer's legacy and discography. Are you in favor of a new Aaliyah album?
